What was the highlight of FlipFlop Cala Romántica
Pleasant
The bartenders and the young catalanian receptionist are very kind. Right behind the hotel there is access to a spectacular beach, it felt like it belongs to the hotel, because its sooo close. In the evening there was a quiz, mostly for kids and families but it was funny.In the morning we seen a Zumba class and besides that various activities one can do, like paddle boarding.
The parking lot in front of the hotel doesnt belong to the hotel and someone broke onto our rented car and stole a bunch of money.My friend complained at the hotel and they said they cannot do anyhing, since the parking lot doesnt belong to them.That is understandable, but my friend only asked them to call the police for her, becase the police doesnt speak english or german and they refused. :/ Im not saying that they were supposed to manage the whole thing for us, but to help to explain the police this situation should have been the least they do.Not because they had to, just out of human decency. The facility looks a bit oldschool, like they didnt renovate since the 80s, but we thoguht this time travel feeling was extra funny.:D Maybe not for everyone. During breakfast one of the staff memebers told us :" The restaurant is closing, you have 2 minutes to leave".????????????

Very Good
Friendly staff, beautiful green park-like location right on the beach. Room was nicely decorated as it was an anniversary celebration. Taxi service to your room. Food was good. Start of a nice hike on the cliffs right next to the restaurant, also kayak rentals and starting point for a boat tour on location. Staff worked really hard to help everybody asap out after everything flooded due to a heavy rainfall.
Rooms were a bit outdated, cleanliness and matresses could have been better. Quite noisy as well to the next door neighbors as there was only a door between us.

Great location and service
The service was good. Always friendly and ready to help. The hotel location is perfect to reach the beach. The buffets were good, clean and always got restocked.
The beds were uncomfortable and the double room had two separate single beds which always skidded apart. The animation shows at night could be improved.

Fabulous location, good food and happy memories.
The location was fantastic, with the beach on your doorstep. The majority of the staff were friendly and the activities were good. There was always enough variation in the food and drink.
Make sure you take a towel for the beach otherwise you will have to rent or buy one. The reception staff were a bit abrupt, but the entertainment staff were friendly. The double bed was two singles, which parted easily as they were on wheels. The plastic mattress protector was a little uncomfortable.
